Solar panels in your business: which option to choose?

FAQ Carport

Do you also install charging points under the solar carports?

No, deliberately not. We specialise in carports. Our designs are sturdy, safe and great to look at. The installation goes smoothly, precisely because we can focus all our attention on the carport. Other parties are very good at installing and connecting charging stations. We enjoy cooperating with them and are happy to put you in touch with them.

How do I know which design is most suitable?

With the Hawk, you have an elegant roof on your property with translucent glass-glass panels. The Eagle has room for high vans and under the Buzzard you park nice and dry, but also cool thanks to the metal sub-roof. The Falcon is often chosen for its looks, but that is also a matter of taste.

Don’t have a clue? Then fill in the calculator for any design to see what it will roughly cost you. Interested? We will be happy to help you make the right choice.

Can I also lease a solar carport?

Yes, you can with a financial lease. You will own the carport from day one and therefore enjoy tax benefits. We have a great partner who will be happy to help you with this.

What are the subsidies and tax advantages for a solar carport?

Subsidies and tax breaks make the purchase of a solar carport more attractive. You can find more about subsidies and financing options in our knowledge base. We work with an excellent partner who can help you with this. Your own bookkeeper or accountant can also provide you with advice.

Do I need a permit for a solar carport?

Yes, in most cases you do. We can tell you more about this in a consultancy meeting and help you with this.

Can I have a solar carport moved?

Yes, you can. The carport is anchored with screw piles, making it easy to detach and move it.

Can I extend a solar carport later?

Yes. All solar carports consist of connectable parts that you can easily extend later.

How do I know the solar carport will always work properly?

With an excellent maintenance package, you know for sure that the carport will keep on working properly for 20 years without having to worry about it. We monitor your electricity yield 24 hours a day, we clean the panels every year, we repair malfunctions and replace parts when necessary.

What will be the average electricity price per kWh in the future?

That is difficult to say. The average price per kWh over the past 5 years is € 0.30 (Source: CBS). This amount is expected to increase every year due to inflation.

What is the write-off period of a solar carport?

You have to depreciate the carport over a 20-year period.

Does a solar carport improve the property's energy label?

Yes, with a solar carport you not only reduce energy costs, but you also improve the energy label of the property. This is particularly interesting if the building does not yet have the compulsory energy label C or if you want to improve it further. This also increases the value of your business.

What are glass-glass solar panels?

In glass-glass solar panels, the solar cells are contained between two layers of tempered glass. This guarantees a very long durability. Because of their design, glass-glass solar panels have a high energy yield, last a long time and are eco-friendly. The price is higher than the alternative, glass-film panels, but the purchase pays for itself in the long run as these panels generate a lot of energy and require little maintenance.

How can I earn more with a solar carport?

You can earn extra income from a solar carport by installing charging stations. For charging cars under your solar carport, you get HBE certificates that you can sell to companies that need to offset CO2 emissions. That makes it extra appealing to extend the carport with charging stations. Our wonderful partner, a specialist in charging stations, will be happy to arrange this for you.
